Tween/Teen (10-15yrs) Sewing Night Upcycled Beach Towel Wrap Dresses (Beginner - Sewing)

Are your tweens or teens interested in sewing? Do they stumble across reels of cool sewing hacks and want to give them a try? Do they just need a night out so you can have a few hours of quiet? Well we have just the thing, our new Tweens and Teens Night out class. These classes will feature some easy social media inspired sewing hacks and upcycles. 

Our second Tween and Teen night out will feature repurposing some old beach and pool towels into a super cute wrap dress for the water park, beach or pool side hangs. Check out grandma’s linen closet for some old vintage towel designs, or hit up your local second hand store. Can’t find anything used to upcycle, newer towels will also work, as well as double gauze. 

This class is a one session, 3hr class. This class has no prerequisites, just come on out and have fun! 

In this class you learn:

• How to operate a sewing machine
• How to sew straight lines and follow a seam allowance
• How to finish raw edges
• How to create ties

You will need: 

• 2-3 thrifted beach sized towels 
• Matching thread (or contrasting for better visualizations)

We will provide: 

• Use of a sewing machine and all the necessary sewing tools for a successfully project
• A link to the tutorial and/or written instruction
